The Wisconsin Area Music Industry’s (WAMI) 2009 ‘Tribute Artist of the Year’, Mark Shurilla, returns by popular demand with his famous tribute to the Winter Dance Party of 1959, a tour that starred Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, Dion and more. With his band, The Greatest Hits, and an all star cast including Liam Ford (Johnny Cash), John van Thiel (Elvis), Danny J. (“The Pavarotti of Rock”), Jayne Taylor, Marvalous Marla and 4-year-old Sheboygan phenom Valor Yost (‘The Kid in Black’), this cavalcade of stars delivers a spectacular tribute to the ‘Golden Age of Rock and Roll’.

I took that picture about ten years ago at some ballroom.

American Idol Eats 57,600,000 Jalepeno Peppers

July 15th, 2008

48 Jalepeno peppers in 5 minutes, thats 576 per hour, figure an eight hour work day thats 4,608 per day.

5 days per week gives us 23,040 per week for 50 weeks (52-2 weeks vacation) = 1,152,000 per year.

Mark’s got about fifty years before retirement, yeah I say he’d eat 57,600,000 peppers during work alone.

I know, I know, he’d probably get quicker as he honed his technique, but I figure he’ll probably slack off at some point and that will make up for the speed.

What? This isn’t his job? He did this for fun?

Not just fun baby, Mark is Rocking the 2008 World Champion of Sheboygan Jalepeno Pepper eating trophy. No, that’s a napkin, the trophies hiding behind the black shirt and the soon to be empty bottle of water

What’s this dude packing that you’re not? Peppers my man, peppers
