Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett makes Toro Trophies his first stop in Sheboygan as he begins his bid for the office of Governor of Wisconsin.
Kristen Buschmann who runs the place with her brother Robbie said a bunch of stuff ,and most certainly didn’t say fuck, even though I told her I couldn’t believe she did.
Or Vang, but Mayor Bob Ryan was amongst the first to call him Coucilman Vue, a title that Sheboygan’s newly appointed District 2 councilman didn’t respond to.
Sheboygan’s Vang Neng Vue is a worthy man for the position. Even when you drop the race card and reshuffle the deck, Vang, or should I say, Councilman Vue is still that card on top.
His story is so Sheboygan, you would have to invent his character if you wanted to tell the city’s history. Mister Vue is the real deal, a war to poor immigrant, coming to America from a camp in Bangkok, Thailand, Vang picked up the english language before arriving in America, and earned a bachelor’s degree in social welfare from Lakeland College while raising a family in Sheboygan.

Sheboygan needs a populist leader, a true people’s champion.
I believe in a Mayor who listens to people, not because he’s supposed to, but because he is learning. A Mayor who is ready to undertake critical evalution at all steps, not as hatred, but as information. In order for this to work, it has to be from the heart, not from the wallet.
This is not a time for good enough, this is a time for a great man to discover himself, or at least a good man to do the right thing.
