Sheboygan’s Vang Neng Vue is a worthy man for the position. Even when you drop the race card and reshuffle the deck, Vang, or should I say, Councilman Vue is still that card on top.
His story is so Sheboygan, you would have to invent his character if you wanted to tell the city’s history. Mister Vue is the real deal, a war to poor immigrant, coming to America from a camp in Bangkok, Thailand, Vang picked up the english language before arriving in America, and earned a bachelor’s degree in social welfare from Lakeland College while raising a family in Sheboygan.

Working as a family support specialist for Sheboygan County Head Start and serving on the board of the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Vue, a U.S. Citizen since 1993, is married with two sons and two daughters, ages 16 to 20.
